Selected Accomplishments

  • 25 years experience in plastic products including development of the daily disposable soft contact lens process for Bausch and Lomb and 96 well microplate at Life Sciences International and a line of optical films and roll to roll products at Reflexite

  • Talented at defining the overlap between technology and business opportunity, and implementing strategy to maximize return on investment in those focused areas.

  • Grew Reflexite from less than $50MM to nearly $200M, with EBITDA margins in excess of 25%.  Sold the company for a strategic premium, achieving 18% CAGR on equity value over the 16 years I was at the company.

  • Part of the leadership team who sold Life Sciences to Thermo Instruments (NASDAQ: THI) in 1997 for $350MM, participated in integration then left to join Reflexite

  • 13 US Patents

  • Received 8 varsity letters and captained 2 teams in Lacrosse and Hockey in college (NCAA Division III).   Former GTE/CoSIDA Division III All American Athlete.

Selected Accomplishments

  • Part of Reflexite leadership team who successfully marketed and sold business to strategic buyer.  As Executive Analyst on the deal team, had primary responsibility for identifying buy-side candidates, produced pitch books and Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM), managed data room for due diligence, liaised directly with investment bank and legal counsel.

  • Developed I.T. strategy and objectives to help achieve corporate strategic plan.  Led KPI development and implementation to improve linkage between strategy and operations to drive premium valuation multiple.

  • Led $1.9M global ERP & CRM system implementation, including needs assessment, RFP development, vendor selection, contract negotiation, budgeting, and project execution.  Contributed to operating profit increase of +70% vs. plan and +130% vs. prior year.

  • Led start-up manufacturing operation for optical films for display and lighting.  Managed stand-alone manufacturing facility, scaled capacity from start-up to 24x7 operation, achieved 2-year revenue growth from $0 to $10M and >50% yield increase.

  • Four-year starter and team captain (1992) for Rensselaer varsity baseball (NCAA Division III)

  • Awarded 1st Degree (2010) and 2nd Degree (2012) black belts in traditional mixed martial arts
